French Polynesia

First stop...Tahiti.

We stayed at the Intercontinental and had this great balcony view.

View of Moorea from one of the pools.

We took a driving tour of the island (Tracy, Unique Tahiti)

Reconstructed Polynesian sacred area

Ginger plants were as tall as Mark.

They grow pineapples here.

Black Sand Beach

Then on to Mo'orea.

We stayed in an Over the Water Bungalow at the Moorea Pearl Beach Resort.

Our view

We took a Helmet Dive (AquaBlue) - 12-15' deep

Then an ATV tour of the island with Albert's. Mark was in heaven.

Cook's Bay

And we took a glass bottom boat tour and snorkeled with stingrays and sharks. (Capt. Taina).  We saw sea turtles and eagle rays too.

And of course the Polynesian dance show at Tiki Village

Then it was time for Bora Bora.

We spent 2 nights in a beach bungalow at the Moorea Pearl Beach Resort and our last night in a garden bungalow.

We had our own hottub in our back yard.

Our shower was outdoors.

Hotel Lobby

Dance show at the hotel

The hotel had stand up paddleboards, sea kayaks, and a snorkeling reef, and we took advantage. It was like swimming in the world's largest pool, and being inside the biggest, most expensive aquarium.

Simon with Tahora Bora Bora took us to the uninhabited coral atoll of Tupai.

So we could swim with humpback whales!

This was so cool.  As soon as we got in the water, we could hear him singing, and at times he was close enough we could hear him singing while we were on the boat.

We went for a snorkel trip with Top Dive of the lagoon.

There were all kinds of coral and fish

Eagle rays

And Manta rays!

But then, we had to go home, and we were sad.
